Bsky only works if you go full Gestapo with your filters. Otherwise the slightest give and you get flooded with shit you dont ask for.

Bluesky only works well when you pick which feed you follow alongside with Moderation Lists that can filter other accounts/posts you don't wanna see. It's is flexible in terms of customizing your timeline.
That aside, it is still a micro-blogging site, you gonna see stuff you don't wanna see and still contribute to the doom-scrolling mentality.
While Newgrounds has absolutely no algorithm (don't expect your art to pop off right off the bat),
it is THE place to share your art and interact with other artists as well. It's a good place to stay in the long term.

findin out day by day i spend here that this place has almost always been pillaring itself as an anchor for all the other SMs.
it hasn't systemically changed yet, that's worth appreciating and yet expecting, nothing is sacred so thrive in it while its there.
Bluesky I can mostly avoid politics by sticking to the following tab; the bit about it that annoys me is when randos show up in my notifications when I'm making no effort to be seen. Tumblr feels fairly lively to me but that's mainly because the relatively few people I follow are super active. Mainly I miss Cohost. Newgrounds has always been nicely stable though, even if the infrastructure for posting art here often feels like the devs are dragging their feet a bit lol

Yeah, the dead internet theory feels more real every day. So many platforms are either flooded with AI content or packed with botted users and fake engagement. I really hope more people start migrating here, there were so many artists I enjoyed seeing on my feed and this place does remind me of early DA in a way.
